Keeping Pace with Components
Heraeus Medical Components manufactures components and assemblies for pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD). Our products include:

Pacing and Defibrillator Lead Coils
• Multiple filar, pitched or tight wound
• Flat wire coils
• Offsets and tapers
• "J" coils
• Coated wire coils, co-radial coils
• Shocking Coils

Electrodes
Heraeus produces electrodes which include standard tips and rings, helixes for active fixation leads and shock coils for defibrillators and miniature size electrodes for left heart stimulation. Our micro precision machining and our expertise in micro porous and insulating coatings support the development of leads.

Pre-Coated Wire and Laser Ablation
Heraeus winds precision coils from pre-coated wire and performs automated stripping to remove coatings in predetermined areas. Materials include ETFE, hydrophilic coatings and other materials.

Housings
Heraeus developed a superior manufacturing process to create a lip, or an integrated weld ring, on a case half, making it a snap to assemble with the mating case. This has reduced the assembly time and costs experienced by our customers.
